1....Think twice about this carefully,(you have about 5 sec to react) conditions are wet, so rules out braking hard. 2...There are two cars coming towards you, one in the correct lane, and one in your lane. 3...Where would you go? left or Right, just does not bare thinking about.
Tourist traveling on wrong side of the road, was filmed on the road going up to Milford Sound

tricky but with all the time i need sitting at computer.... i would go to my far left because i would already be to my left in my own lane to start and if i got past the tourist then i would be sure to get past the nz car driver, though i probably wouln't know the nz car driver was there because tourist vehicle would be blocking my view. the tourist seems confused as to which lane he/she should be in and may?? just stay on the centre line and leave it up to motorcycle to pass their vehicle.

Just speaking with Brett at Bike Tranz today, he travels Paraparaumu to Auckland weekly clocking up over 80thousand klm a year, with a heavy vehicle, at the moment he is doing 3 trips to Auckland a week, what he was saying, that over the last few years, what he is seeing is that the driving on NZ roads has worstend, to the point that he is ready to give up his run, its quite frightening what he sees drivers doing out there. Roll on the silly season.

I tend to agree with Steve/ Karen and choose the left of the tourist vehicle as I was approaching it. It seems to be more in the middle of the road than completely in the wrong lane. Also scrub off as much speed as possible in the conditions. My ABS would be useful.
I am driving close to 30,000km a year and daily see people doing silly, unpredictable or dangerous things, so agree the standard of drivers is fairly alarming. Not to mention the thousands of car drivers constantly braking unnecessarily. Brake pad manufacturers must be exceedingly wealthy!

It's probably not available on line anymore. It was there in December. I don't think I imagined it.
