All I've managed to do so far is to register for another gold course. I've emailed Carolyn at 2 bald bikers to find out if I've stuffed it up somewhere. Stuffed if i know!!

:|Carolyn has told me that all we have to do is contact the local bikeshop involved in the scheme to take advantage of it? 2BB'S have nothing to do with the promotion.

Yes it is a fantastic Deal, ........and its a bloody shame that some of our members don't take up the offer, it would give them more confidence in themselves and there riding ability. Also it makes our group rides more pleasent knowing they have the ability and skills to handle a motorcycle. These courses are a Life saver if you want to continue to ride.

Bugger, spring 16 is a greater Wellington regional council promotion so only applies to the Wellington area, not the Horizon council area

You are right Russell. Every member of our club needs to do training courses, and we all need regular refreshers. You learn something new, or get handy reminders, every time. There is no excuse not to with this free offer and even if you have to pay the ACC subsidy means it's only $20 or $50 for a days training. Without the subsidy it would be over $200. We pay big money for rego, a lot of which goes to ACC. Doing a Ride Forever course means you get some of that money back, thereby reducing your rego fees, and you learn something as well. Not to mention having some fun at the same time.

As I have stated before, I cannot recommend them highly enough. I intend doing the silver course, (working backwards). I can only wholeheartedly agree with Paul and Russell. We never stop learning and those who say that they know it all are fools! Take advantage of this offer. Where else can you get a bike check over and a safe riding course for free...zip...zilch....nada...gratis. No matter how you say it, it has to be good value

Also had an email from ACC asking for the voucher number for this promotion! Is there one? They won't proceed without it apparently.

Hi Roger, I think the whole package is being organised through Greater Wellington Regional Council. I would assume they give you a voucher number to do the Bike checks, then you would do the same for the Training Course. I can't find much about it really its not been made that clear. My bet is to give Wellington Regional Council a call or Kapiti Coast District Council and ask for Bruce Johnson, he is on the Motorcycle and Vehicle Saftey committee.

Now I'm really confused. Just had an email from the "Ride Forever" team stating that to do any course under the Spring 16 promo incurs a cost of $50.00, voucher number not required!! Please, can someone enlighten me? All very slap happy and I can no longer be bothered.

Hi Roger.
(1) The e-mail you got from "ACC" should not have been sent to you, so disregard it, and they apologise for that. No Vouchers at all are needed.
(2) The Bike check is all OK with "Twin Cam", so go ahead with that.
(3) The "Rideforever" Training either the $20 or the $50 course is fully subsidised buy "Wellington Greater Regional Council", so no cost to the Rider. NOTE = When you register with "RideForever" you must Quote the Promo Code (Spring 16) that way you get it FREE.
I have added an attachment to the First Page I started, just "click on it", you have probably already got it
Hope That Clarifies everything for you, it has got a little confusing alright.
